Trip (AmE.) the time spent and distance covered going from one place to another

Trip (BrE.) short journey or one on which you spend only a short time in another place and then come back

WAYS OF TRAVELING 

Overland – travel by train, car, bus etc., esp. a long distance when people would normally go by plane (по суше)

Cruise – to sail or travel over or about for pleasure
